Privacy Policy & Data Governance — Rayntos Main Pauri

1. What We Collect

Rayntos operates as a technology coordination platform connecting riders with verified scooter hosts in Main Pauri. We collect only the minimum personal data necessary to facilitate bookings:

Contact Information: Full legal name, verified email address (via Google OAuth), and active Indian mobile phone number.
Digital Self-Declaration Records: Timestamped records of your declaration confirming you are 18+ and hold a valid permanent two-wheeler driving licence, alongside the 18-clause rental undertaking acceptance and cryptographic SHA-256 hash.
Reservation & Payment Data: Vehicle model requested, pickup time window, 3% booking confirmation fee transaction records (UPI reference ID / UTR), and handover verification timestamps.

2. Zero Document Storage on Platform Servers

Rayntos does not collect, scan, upload, process, or store photographic images of your Driving Licence, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or biometric selfies. No document storage bucket exists on our infrastructure. Verification of your physical original documents occurs exclusively in person between you and the vehicle host at physical vehicle handover.

3. Purpose of Processing

Your personal data is processed solely for the following explicit purposes:

Authenticating user sessions and provisioning access to your dashboard.
Transmitting booking confirmation details and vehicle pickup stand coordination to the host once the 3% booking fee is verified.
Maintaining immutable audit logs of legal undertaking acceptance for compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.
Providing customer support and emergency roadside coordination in Main Pauri.

4. Absolute Guarantee: We Do Not Sell Your Data

Rayntos will never sell, lease, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers under any circumstances. We do not run third-party tracking scripts or behavioral advertising pixels.

5. Data Retention Periods

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill service delivery and legal accounting obligations:

Active Account Profiles: Retained while your account remains active.
Booking Confirmation Records & Invoices: Retained for statutory periods (up to 7 years) as required under Indian taxation and commercial law audit requirements.
Self-Declaration Audit Trails: Retained for the duration of statutory limitation periods pertaining to vehicle hire undertakings.

6. How to Request Account & Data Deletion (DPDP Act Rights)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you hold the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data. You can initiate an irreversible data deletion request at any time directly through your account:

Log in to your Rayntos account and visit your Account Settings.
Scroll down to the Account Data & DPDP Rights section.
Click Request Account Deletion to enqueue your profile for permanent erasure.

Upon confirmation, all active session profiles are immediately deactivated, and non-statutory records are expunged from platform datastores within 30 business days.

7. Payment Security & Banking Credential Non-Collection

Rayntos collects only the 3% booking confirmation fee using standard dynamic UPI deep links. Rayntos never collects, requests, stores, or logs UPI PINs, OTPs, bank account passwords, debit/credit card numbers, or CVVs. The rental charges and refundable security deposit are settled directly between renter and owner at vehicle pickup.
